BREAKING: Boston Mayor Marty Walsh announced today that he would not support the city’s bid to host the 2024 Olympics, since the function of heightening the city’s profile will be fulfilled by the release of Fallout 4.

“Why heighten our profile and strive towards greater, possibly unreachable goals as a city when we can heighten our profile while setting a post-apocalyptic nuclear hellscape as the benchmark?” said Walsh.

Walsh added, “plus, if we add all this extra Olympic infrastructure and it’s not present in the game, then it’s going to totally take me out of the experience.”
