Acting president Donald Trump has taken the symbolic Thanksgiving pardoning of a Turkey to the next level.
Trump announced that this year he would finally stop beating around the bush and finally forgive Turkeys everywhere for the Armenian Genocide.
The move comes just days after it was revealed that the White House had instructed Lindsey Graham to block a resolution recognizing the genocide. [Seriously.]
Trump went on to ask why it took 100 years to forgive the genocide.
“I’m curious why wasn’t it done a long time ago,” Trump openly mused. “And also, I guess the answer to that is because now I’m president, we get things done.”
