Mississippi narrowly avoided losing its long held “worst state” title yesterday when Doug Jones defeated creeper Roy Moore to become Alabama’s next senator.
A Moore victory combined with Alabama’s SEC title loss was expected to propel Alabama to the top of the worst state rankings.
Now that Alabama is back in the playoffs and Moore has lost the election, it is all but likely Mississippi will continue its thirty-year reign as the worst state in the union.
