OTTAWA—Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has unveiled plans to build a wall along the U.S.-Canada border.
The announcement comes after U.S. President Donald Trump slapped Canadian lumber exporters with up to a 24 percent tariff.
Trudeau announced that the surplus lumber would be used to build a great, beautiful wall along the 5.5 thousand-mile border, and that the U.S. would eventually pay for it.
“Canadian lumber has had an unfair market advantage for too long, friend,” Trump tweeted to Trudeau.
“I’m not your friend, buddy,” Trudeau quickly shot back.
To which Trump responded 3 hours later: “I’m not your buddy, guy!”
This went back and forth for a while until Trudeau claimed “you just salty cause ya girl like me #IVANKA.”
At press time, Trump’s twitter was deactivated.
