Democratic presidential front runner Hillary Clinton shocked voters yesterday by showing up to an inequality speech wearing a stunning $12 thousand visual aid.

“I bought this jacket I am wearing so that I could know what it was like to barely have enough money in my purse for a weeks-worth of really fancy cheese,” stated Clinton to thunderous applause. “I’m just like you, I’m just like you!”

According to those in attendance, the breath-taking visual aid, designed by Giorgio Armani, really brought home the message about the effects of wealth disparity.

“I live paycheck to paycheck,” said Sue Jennings, speech attendee and 40-year-old single mother of three. “Yet here I am, applauding someone so detached as to wear an absurdly over-priced, garish garment while preaching about income inequality because that very inequality has priced out any palatable alternative. If this isn’t a sign that something has to change, I don’t know what is.”
